In a return of the Good, Fiona Apple blesses us with some new music. Coltrane and I where having a conversation about the state of music today, (which is a conversation we’ve had since the dawn of the ipod generation) and two musical entities consistently get our beer pints raised, The Beastie Boys and Fiona Apple. Its been 6 years since her last opus Extraordinary Machine and 15 since her phenomenal debut Tidal in 1996 (one of the best years musically in my opinion). Here is some music from her long-anticipated fourth studio album, the delightfully titled The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do.
